Q: What do 'Power Systems', 'Protection Engineering', 'Arc Flash Hazard Mitigation' all have in common?
A: They are all rather complex and boring.
…that was all true; until you contacted BSA.
BSA has a storied and glorious history of making great jokes and putting together engaging and thought provoking presentations that are easy to follow, well received, enlightening and entertaining. Usually fun, sometimes enlightening.

Application of the "Feynman "Technique" in presenting; is a terrific way to deepening understanding.
- Pick a topic
- Study that topic till you understand it really well, then simplify it
- Explain it to a child so they understand it
- If you can't do (3), then you haven't graduated from (2) yet (go back to the source literature and try again).
Feynman: "I finally figured out a way to test whether you have taught an idea or you have only taught a definition. Test it this way: You say, 'Without using the new word which you have just learned, try to rephrase what you have just learned in your own language. Without using the word 'energy', tell me what you know now about the dog's motion.' You cannot. So you learned nothing about science."
A short list of the wildly entertaining topics that BSA has presented:
Arc flash hazard mitigation
Protection engineering and arc flash
Commissioning Practices
Safety and Commissioning
Earned Value and Commissioning Systems
Innovative Resource Utilisation
Engineering Capability Development
Safe Transformative Change in Operational Contexts
Industry conferences that BSA has presented at:
Arc Flash & HV Conference 2024 Auckland
High Voltage Conference 2023 Brisbane
High Voltage Conference 2022 Adelaide
High Voltage Conference 2019 Brisbane
ENA 2010 - Melbourne
ENA 2008 - Sydney
Regardless of the topic - if you need complex &/or boring topics communicated in a really straightforward, hilarious and interesting way that engages your audience, click below to go to our contact page and get in touch.
